Forklift Operator – 3rd Shift

Location: Covington, GA 30014
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 8:00 PM–6:30 AM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced distribution center in Covington, GA. This position is responsible for safely and accurately moving products throughout the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy and following all safety procedures.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant warehouse/forklift experience and intermediate experience operating either a high-reach or counterbalance forklift.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport palletized products throughout the distribution center.
• Load and unload products and materials.
• Perform put-away, including double-deep and bulk storage.
• Complete full-pallet picking and replenishment.
• Operate material handling equipment, including:
  • High-Reach Forklift
  • Counterbalance Forklift
  • Electric Pallet Jack
  • Dock Stocker
• Use an RF scanner and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track products and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain product integrity while handling and transporting materials.
• Follow all facility safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Cross-train in other warehouse areas and provide support as needed.

Requirements

• 1+ year of relevant warehouse or forklift experience required.
• Intermediate high-reach or counterbalance forklift experience required.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse material handling equipment.
• Experience using RF scanners.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to read and understand warehouse/distribution documents in English.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the full scheduled shift.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma/GED is preferred but NOT required.
• Must successfully complete a 10-panel drug screening.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be comfortable working in an active warehouse environment that includes standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, crouching, and repetitive hand movements throughout the shift.

Some areas may require lifting 50+ pounds.

The work environment may include moderate-to-loud noise, moving mechanical equipment, and occasional exposure to airborne particles or fumes.

Safety Requirements

Required PPE includes:

• Safety shoes
• Safety vest
• Additional PPE as required by the facility
